Jenn Jordan unearthed her passion for painting as a young adult attending Northern Arizona University. While studying to be an art teacher she found painting as a way to explore her raw emotions, express what she could not say, and find solace in the understanding of her existence.
In 2006, degree in hand and paintings aplenty, she relocated to Mumbai, India to begin her teaching career and exploration of the world. The constant movement of living and working in Mumbais metropolis, combined with travels to Europe, Africa and Asia inspired and transformed Jenns humanity.
Those transformations are reflected in her artwork, and are apparent in her abstract expressions of inner thoughts, stylized representations of land, traditions, and people, and meditative abstracts incorporating textured metals. The changing phases of her artistic expression were showcased in two solo exhibitions in Mumbai.
In 2011, Jenn moved back to the U.S. and settled in the Hudson Valley. It is here that she continues her passion for painting and teaching. She is a member of the Artists Collective of Hyde Park and regularly exhibits in Hyde Park.
